MoGo Detroit approached JustinWedes to help tell the story of Metro Detroit’s nonprofit bike-share system and the people who use it. Its inaugural MoGo-a-GoGo community fundraiser provided a colorful, energetic backdrop for capturing testimonials, event footage, and the organization’s broader impact.
The resulting video centers the voices of riders and community members rather than simply explaining how bike sharing works. Their experiences reveal how MoGo supports transportation access, recreation, independence, and connection throughout the region.
We wanted the film to feel as active, accessible, and community-oriented as MoGo itself. Our team integrated into the event, capturing candid interactions, movement, and atmosphere while interviewing participants about their personal connection to the bike-share program.
The event gave us more than a visually dynamic setting. It allowed us to document the real community surrounding MoGo and create a story driven by firsthand experiences. The interviews provide emotional substance, while the event imagery gives the film momentum and a strong sense of place.
The testimonial video was designed to help MoGo build awareness of its nonprofit mission and demonstrate its value through the words of real riders and supporters. It could be used for fundraising, community outreach, social media, sponsorship development, and future event promotion.
The production also created a broader library of footage and interviews that could support additional communications beyond a single finished video.
